Macon County Ministries Food Pantry - Food Distribution Center

Macon County Ministries are available to people of all beliefs. MCM is “friends helping friends.”
Emergency Food Pantry
If you are in immediate need of food, the Emergency Food Pantry is available to anyone in Macon County for any reason 4 times per calendar year. You must bring a photo ID and proof of Macon County residence. (If not on your Driver’s license bring a bill or piece of mail with your name and address) The Emergency Food Pantry is open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10am-12pm and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1pm-3pm. All our staff is volunteer.
Monthly Food Distribution
You may qualify to receive food each month from the food pantry.
The Monthly Food Distribution is the third Tuesday of each month from 12pm to 6pm. You must have a verification card to be served. If you do not have a verification card, come on the 3rd Tuesday of the month between 12pm and 6pm to apply. There is a sliding scale for qualification based on income and you must show ID when registering.
Utility Assistance
If you need assistance paying your utility bills, you may receive a $200.00 stipend once a year if you are using Macon Municipal Utilities, MFA Propane or other natural gas, Bevier water, or LA Plata Municipal and Macon Electric Cooperative.
You must fill out an application for assistance at the Emergency Food Pantry.
We cannot provide help with rent, medications or doctor’s bills.
