Rent Relief for a Grieving Widower

An elderly gentleman’s wife passed away last September. In addition to the emotional difficulties, her passing has created significant financial challenges for him. After losing her income, he moved into a smaller apartment that he could afford on his wages.

Recently, he developed severe emphysema and is no longer able to work. He is currently trying to secure subsidized housing, but in the meantime, he needs assistance with past-due rent. At this time, he owes approximately $1,000 and is making small payments from his Social Security checks as he is able.

Thanks to everyone who donated to this cause. The man in need is completely moved into his new house and is ecstatic that his past apartment debt is taken care of.
