AAAH! Lug Nuts!

ree

This is just a tiny little thing, but it so perfectly illustrates how we should be as Overlapers! Always looking for someone to help.

Today, I was in the tool aisle at Ace Hardware waiting to speak with an employee about a product. I overheard the employee having a conversation with another customer about how he had a flat tire but the lug nuts on his wheel were seized up and he wasn't able to get them off with a regular tire iron. He said he didn't want to spend half his paycheck on an impact drill just to remove a few nuts from his rim, but he was out of options. Being the nosey fellow that I am, I joined the conversation. We ended up exchanging phone numbers and a short while later I was at his house helping him get that tire off. With a big wrench and a 4-foot breaker bar, we got the nuts off in no time. Look at that! For me, it was less than an hour of my time. No big deal. But for the guy I helped, he's now able to get his tire repaired and get to work on-time today. A little bit of service can mean so much for the people who need it. Always be on the lookout for ways to share the love of God with others and to make the world a better place to live!
